6 Quick Apply Full-time 3 hours ago Full Job Description Under the supervision of the Director of Resort Operations, the incumbent provides a professional Front Desk environment and remote PBX Reservations operation to ensure top quality customer service to hotel/resort guests.
The Hotel Services Manager directly oversees Front Desk operations and the remote PBX operations.
All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Downstream Casino Resort's policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES oPrepares detailed financial reports to ensure adherence to established budgets.
Investigates and resolves discrepancies and may assist in preparing operating budgets.
oPrepares/approves work schedules, ensures proper training, conducts employee evaluations and assists in the hiring of front desk and remote PBX reservations staff.
oInvestigates and resolves employee and/or guest problem situations.
oMaintains and implements departmental procedures.
Oversees adherence to company policies and procedures, including Purchasing, HR, and Compliance.
oCommunicates and coordinates hotel/resort maintenance issues with Facilities and room booking status with the Guest Services/VIP Services/Housekeeping Departments.
oInterviews, hires, trains, schedules, appraises and supervises all directly assigned personnel.
oMaintains hotel system files.
oCommunicates/coordinates point of sale concerns with F&B/Retail.
oPromotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
oMaintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
oPerforms all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
oMeet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
oInform front desk and remote supervisors as necessary.
oAttend all necessary meetings and assist in other projects, as directed.
oDuties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed.
Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule.
oManages Hotel Inventory to insure maximum occupancy without overbooking.
oWorks in direct communication with all areas of hotel operations departments.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.
oMust be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
oHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.
oMinimum of 3-5 years of front desk/hospitality management experience required.
oMust have LMS user knowledge and be able to administer the system.
oKnowledge of the casino industry preferred.
oMust possess proven ability to prepare and fulfill short-term developmental and operational goals and the financial knowledge necessary to assist in the creation of and adherence to departmental budgets.
oMust have proficient computer skills.
oMust have excellent customer service skills.
oAbility to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
oAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
oMust have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
oMust have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
oMust possess proven leadership ability necessary to provide guidance to subordinate supervisors and ensure effective employee relations.
oMust possess strong interpersonal skills necessary for verbal and written communications to subordinates, guests and other management personnel.
oMust be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
oMust be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
oWork nights, weekends and holidays as required.
oEmployment is contingent upon a favorable outcome of a background investigation and drug screening.
